Right now, if you are obese or in need of losing a lot of weight, let me suggest that you try a weight loss snowball. What is a weight loss snowball?
A weight loss snowball is the process of you making small positive changes every day that move you toward weight loss and allowing those small changes to all collectively compound over time into what is known as the “snowball effect”. What?
If you can imagine a little snowball at the top of a mountain that gets a little nudge and begins to slowly roll down the mountain. At first it is a little snowball, but as it rolls more snow is added to it and it even starts to roll faster until eventually it is a gigantic snowball at the bottom of the mountain. Can you see it?
Well, when you have a lot of weight to lose, you are definitely facing a very overwhelming situation. You may not know what to do, where to begin or how to begin. So you just start where you are (at the top of the mountain) and you give yourself a little nudge.
You implement one small change that moves you toward losing weight like giving up one glass of soda a day. Then when you feel okay with that change you add another small change like have almonds as your morning snack instead of a cupcake.
So, with the snowball effect, you take it one small change at a time, one day at a time and you add another small change when you feel comfortable and ready to do it.
Before you know, because of all the small changes you have been making, you are living a completely different lifestyle, implementing new changes regularly and actually seeing results and losing weight.
This approach to weight loss is non-threatening, easy to do, allows you to let go of old bad habits and incorporate new good habits gradually, and ensures that you change to a healthier lifestyle.
Is the snowball effect a get skinny quick program? No, but you don’t learn how to live a healthy lifestyle in a get skinny quick program. You only learn how to give over control of your weight loss to someone else.
What happens when you stop their program? You go back to the way you know how to live – the way that made you overweight.
If you are serious about not just losing weight, but actually changing your life and living a healthy lifestyle, then the weight loss snowball is what you need. Change your lifestyle for the better and you ultimately don’t need a weight loss snowball, because it is so effective, you are enjoying your life at the weight you want.
